Details: Results are shared via email after the campaign ends. Price and availability of ads may change at any time. Because of platform limitations, PodLP does not support automatic downloads for new episodes of subscribed podcasts. All downloads are organic and generated by direct user interaction. Advertisements are natively part of the PodLP app and cannot be blocked using AdBlock applications. English has always been the top language for PodLP listeners.

PodLP shares three metrics for each ad's performance:

Unique Views: How many unique users the ad was displayed to on the PodLP homepage.
Unique Taps: How many unique users tapped the ad in the PodLP app, bringing up the podcast description and episode listing page.
Listens: How many times users taps an episode to start listening, initiating playback on the episode player page.

All sales are final. No refunds.

Pricing

Pricing shown for a 30-day campaign:

Global: $600
Excluding India: $200

Global listings are shown to every PodLP listener, while ex-India listings are shown to the ~10-20% of listeners outside of India, namely in the USA. As a result, ex-India listings generate significantly fewer taps and listens, but target a more affluent demographic. PodLP listeners do not create accounts so all app use is anonymous. Further targeting is not possible as the app does not collect demographic information like gender or age.

Terms

Conformance: All KaiOS phones have small ~2" (~5cm) 240x320 screens. Due to limited screen real estate, PodLP may edit ad content for technical, layout, or style conformance, including resizing images or making minor copy edits, if necessary.
Payment: Advertisements are arranged via email, and payments are made via Stripe. Invoices will only be issued for approved ads.
Content: Titles, images, and descriptions must be appropriate for a general audience of all ages. Content may not be profane, explicit, suggestive, offensive, or sexual in nature. PodLP reserves the right to reject an ad for any reason including, but not limited to, payment issues, quality concerns, or content suitability.

FAQ

Q: Can we see our advertisement?
Advertisements are visible within the PodLP app available for download on all KaiOS phones from the KaiStore or JioStore. PodLP is currently not available on other mobile platforms like Android or iOS.
Q: Why place advertisements on the home page?
PodLP is unique in making podcasts readily available to first-time internet users. The home page offers equal opportunity to position your podcast in front of a diverse listener base. At this time, app usage and engagement do not warrant category placement.
Q: Is there an automated system to review inventory and purchase ads?
Due to limited inventory, as of January 2024, all ad slots are purchased and scheduled manually via email.
Q: Can we negotiate terms on a call?
PodLP is a one-person company and because inventory is highly limited, does not provide advertisements in exchange for goods or services. However, if you represent a brand or network and would like to promote podcasts in bulk, please email.
Q: What does PodLP do with advertisement revenue?
Podcasters are an excellent source of education, entertainment, and information. Because of this, PodLP is available for free to millions of first-time internet users and podcast listeners around the world. Advertisement revenue supports continued operation and development of the PodLP app.
